An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a high-profile property development project as a Commercial Asset Manager. This unique mixed-use destination comprises seven floors of premium office accommodation, multiple commercial units and a flagship rooftop restaurant, requiring a commercially astute property professional to lead its leasing strategy and drive occupancy.
This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of leasing performance across a landmark development, working with a diverse range of stakeholders to attract, negotiate and secure high-quality occupiers.
Your new role
Reporting into senior leadership, you will oversee the end-to-end leasing and lettings process for a major commercial development. You will be responsible for developing and implementing innovative leasing strategies, managing external agents and ensuring the asset achieves its occupancy and revenue objectives. The successful candidate will combine strong commercial leasing expertise with a strategic understanding of asset management, tenant engagement and market positioning.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and implement the leasing and lettings strategy across a mixed-use commercial development.
- Manage the full leasing lifecycle from marketing and tenant identification through to negotiation and completion.
- Oversee and coordinate the performance of external commercial agents and advisors.
- Develop innovative approaches to attract occupiers and maximise occupancy levels across office, retail and leisure space.
- Negotiate heads of terms and support lease completion processes.
- Advise on rental values, incentives, rent-free periods and wider commercial considerations.
- Work closely with asset management, development and operational teams to optimise asset performance.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective and existing tenants.
- Support tenant onboarding and occupier retention initiatives.
- Provide regular reporting on leasing performance, market activity and pipeline opportunities.
- Contribute to the commercial positioning and long-term success of the development.
What you'll need to succeed
- Demonstrable experience within commercial leasing, lettings, agency or asset management.
- A successful track record of delivering leasing strategies for commercial property assets.
- Experience negotiating commercial lease transactions and managing occupier relationships.
- Strong understanding of landlord and tenant matters, incentives and leasing structures.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Commercially minded with strong financial and analytical capabilities.
- Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple workstreams simultaneously.
- Experience overseeing external agents and professional advisors.
Desirable Experience
- Experience working on major mixed-use developments or regeneration schemes.
- Exposure to office, retail, leisure or food and beverage assets.
- Experience leasing restaurant or hospitality space, ideally destination or rooftop venues.
- MRICS qualification or equivalent professional accreditation.
- Asset management experience within a developer, investment or property company environment.
