Hays is working with a leading engineering contractor delivering complex civil and infrastructure schemes. They are seeking a Geotechnical / Structural Engineer with strong drainage experience to support the design, assessment, and delivery of drainage and earthworks packages on major projects.
This role will suit an engineer with a solid background in geotechnics and structural principles, combined with practical drainage design and site support experience.
- Geotechnical and structural assessment to support drainage and earthworks design
- Design and checking of surface water and foul drainage systems
- Interpretation of ground investigation data and geotechnical reports
- Input into temporary and permanent works related to drainage and substructures
- Supporting construction activities with technical advice and problem solving
Degree qualified in Civil, Structural, or Geotechnical Engineering (or equivalent)
- Proven experience in geotechnical and/or structural engineering with drainage focus
- Strong understanding of UK drainage standards and specifications
- Experience interpreting GI data and ground risk
- Ability to work collaboratively across design and construction teams
- Experience on infrastructure, highways, rail, or utilities projects
- Site-based engineering experience
