As a key member of our client's healthcare team, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals struggling with alcohol dependency. Working hours are Monday to Friday, from 8am to 5pm.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough alcohol assessments for patients.
  • Prepare patients for community alcohol detox.
  • Provide expert advice on alcohol reduction and its effects on the body.
  • Support nonqualified staff in delivering care to alcohol-dependent patients.
  • Liaise with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
  • Perform general nursing duties as required.

Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse with valid NMC registration (RGN or RMN).
  • Experience as a Drug and Alcohol Nurse is essential.
  • Prescriber qualification is preferable but not essential.
  • Ability to work across a large geographical area within County Durham; access to a car is required.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

We offer:

  • Competitive hourly rates: £28.50 PAYE or £33.00 Umbrella (no LTD payments).
  • Weekly pay.
