Operating both in the UK and across the world, they are a leading contractor delivering projects across multiple sectors including; real estate, defence, education, highways, rail and water.
Your new role
Working on the largest highways project in the region involving a new 10 mile dual 2-lane carriageway, we are looking for a Sub Agent to join the project team.
In this role, you will oversee a range of activities within your section, ensuring that all works are planned, programmed, delivered, and handed over with a \”right first time\” approach. While you will be supported by an Agent and other team members, you are expected to take full ownership of the detailed planning, execution, and completion of your section.
Key Duties:
- Foster a positive and productive working environment for your team
- Conduct temporary works inspections
- Review design documents and raise technical queries with design teams
- Develop and maintain a 3-month lookahead aligned with the contract programme
- Ensure accurate site records are maintained and communicate any changes
- Manage timely and accurate requisitions for plant and materials
- Ensure quality records are properly captured and stored
- Generate and close out Non-Conformance Records
- Set and uphold high standards for health, safety, and environmental management
- Identify and implement carbon reduction opportunities within your section
What you\’ll need to succeed
- Degree or HND in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Solid understanding of engineering principles and construction methodologies
- Proficient in digital tools (MS Office, document control systems, site digital tools)
- Formal training in Health & Safety and Environmental management (e.g., SMSTS)
- Valid CSCS Card
