Our client, a well-established regional contractor, is seeking an experienced Site Manager on a long-term temporary basis to deliver a commercial construction project in Suffolk. Reporting to the Project Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the site, ensuring works are completed safely, on programme and to the required quality standards. This is a hands-on role requiring strong leadership, organisation and coordination of subcontractors and site teams.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Full day-to-day management of the site
  • Coordinating subcontractors, labour and materials
  • Ensuring strict compliance with health & safety regulations
  • Managing short-term programmes and daily activities
  • Maintaining quality standards and overseeing snagging
  • Liaising with the project team, consultants and stakeholders
  • Completing site documentation and progress reporting

What you’ll need to succeed:

  • Proven experience as a Site Manager on commercial projects
  • Excellent knowledge of health & safety and site processes
  • Valid SMSTS, CSCS (Black or Gold) and First Aid certificates
  • Ability to manage programmes and multiple subcontractors
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced site environment
