Your new company HAYS are excited to be partnering with a well-established and growing UK business that is looking to appoint an experienced Finance Manager to join its leadership team. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified finance professional who enjoys combining hands-on financial management with team leadership and business partnering responsibilities.
Based in Cannock, the role offers a hybrid working pattern of four days in the office and one day from home.
Your new role involves reporting into the Head of Finance, taking ownership of the day-to-day finance function, leading a team across management accounts, accounts payable and accounts receivable. You'll play a key role in delivering accurate financial reporting, managing cash flow, supporting budgeting and forecasting activities, driving process improvements and providing meaningful commercial insight to stakeholders.
This opportunity would suit a qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA accountant with previous experience in a Finance Manager, Financial Controller or Senior Management Accountant position. Strong management accounting, financial reporting and team leadership experience are essential, along with the ability to operate effectively within a fast-paced, multi-site environment. The business offers genuine opportunities to make an impact, influence change and contribute to ongoing growth. Whilst initially offered on a 12-month fixed-term basis, there is realistic potential for the role to become permanent.
What you'll need to succeed:
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
- Previous experience in a Finance Manager, Financial Controller or Senior Management Accountant role
- Strong management accounting and financial reporting background
- Experience leading and developing finance teams
- Experience managing audits and statutory reporting requirements
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
