Overview
We are currently seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join a busy and supportive team based in Barlaston. This is a flexible role offering an excellent work-life balance, with hours that can be tailored around school commitments.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out the full credit control function, resolving queries and managing aged debt
- Reconcile banking transactions, producing accurate reports
- Reconcile sales and purchase ledgers and report on variances
- Manage end-to-end payroll, including:
- Processing payments
- Managing absenteeism
- Ensuring compliance with the Pension Act
- Submitting returns to HMRC
Skills & Experience Required
- Proven experience in a Bookkeeper or similar finance role
- AAT Level 3 qualified or Qualified by Experience (QBE)
- Strong working knowledge of Sage Line 50 and Excel
- Experience handling payroll and statutory compliance
- High attention to detail with strong organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities
