Your new company has a great opportunity for a detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join a small, friendly finance team. You will play a key role in processing accounts for a group of companies, ensuring accuracy and efficiency across all financial tasks.
Your new role
- Purchase Ledger: Process supplier invoices, reconcile statements, and manage payments.
- Sales Ledger: Raise and allocate customer invoices, monitor receipts, and chase outstanding balances.
- Assist with VAT returns and ensure compliance with HMRC requirements.
- Support with journal entries and month-end processes.
- Maintain accurate records and assist with ad-hoc finance tasks as required.
What you'll need to succeed
- Sage experience is desirable
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and general IT systems.
