This well-established construction business in Stockport is seeking a Document Controller to join their team on a temporary basis to help support with ongoing projects.
You will be responsible for providing support to the construction, site and office teams. You will oversee the flow of drawings, records and project documentation, making sure teams are working with the latest versions and that all information is clearly logged, organised and retrievable.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Keeping project records up to date and overseeing documentation throughout its lifecycle
- Checking, uploading and distributing information
- Monitoring updates, revisions and approvals
- Managing user permissions
- Providing reporting and compliance updates
- Assisting with handover materials such as operational information and safety records
- Coordinating general project administration and helping teams prepare for meetings and reviews
- Liaising with consultants and subcontractors to secure missing or overdue information
What you'll need to succeed:
- Previous experience in document control and managing project information within the construction industry
- Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail
- Confidence working with digital document systems and project management software
- Clear communication skills and the ability to work effectively with both office and site-based teams
- A proactive mindset with the ability to prioritise effectively
- Ideally, you will have previously worked with systems such as SharePoint, Viewpoint, Fieldview or Monday.com
