We are urgently looking for an experienced Locum Substance Misuse to join our client's team in Watford, Hertfordshire. If you are interested, please read the details below:
- Hours: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Monday to Friday 37.5 hours per week)
- Dates: ASAP 3 months (Temporary Contract, will be reviewed after 3 months)
- Pay Rate: £33/hr PAYE or £38 umbrella (strictly no limited companies)
Your new role:
- Undertake physical and mental health assessments and sign post/refer to primary care or appropriate secondary health care services for identified health issues.
- To undertake Nurse Alcohol Assessments and determine safe in the titration process for opiate service users.
- To provide screening for BBV, through dry blood spot testing.
- If trained - provide Hepatitis B vaccinations, undertake phlebotomy.
- Contribute to Naloxone Strategy.
- Offer wound care assessment and basic wound dressing to service users.
- Utilise psychosocial intervention including Integrated Test and Evaluation Plans in both one-to-one and group settings.
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
- Current NMC registration
- Previous solid experience of working as a substance misuse nurse
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
