Your new company Hays is working with a well-respected, not-for-profit organisation known for its commitment to supporting individuals with complex needs and helping them move towards independence, stable living, on a temporary basis to start immediately.

Your new role As a Tenancy Sustainment and Floating Support Officer, you will play a key role in supporting customers with complex needs, to progress towards independent living while ensuring properties, tenancies, and compliance standards are maintained to the highest level.

You will:

  • Complete customer inductions, risk assessments and person-centred support plans, reviewing these regularly to meet individual needs.
  • Support customers to build independence, develop tenancy skills and maintain positive relationships with their networks and services.
  • Guide customers through their move-on journey into independent tenancies.
  • Complete tenancy sign-ups and move-ins, ensuring residents understand their rights, responsibilities and local services.
  • Proactively manage tenancies by addressing arrears early, supporting benefit claims, issuing notices when required and identifying safeguarding concerns.
  • Maintain safe, compliant properties by coordinating repairs, managing voids and carrying out regular health and fire safety checks.
  • Keep accurate records and ensure all work aligns with housing, welfare and safeguarding legislation.

What you'll need to succeed:

  • A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes.
  • Commute to the Stoke head office on a Friday.
  • Enhanced DBS check, or willingness to undergo one.
  • Experience in a similar sector, including supporting people with complex needs.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, work under pressure and solve problems in fast-paced environments.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • A clear understanding of great customer service in a support-based setting.
  • Confident IT skills, including excellent proficiency in Microsoft Word and good working knowledge of Excel.
  • Experience supporting financial processes such as expenses, invoices, or applications for benefits, grants or financial support.
  • Ability to meet contractual requirements within commissioned services.
  • GCSE-Level education or higher.
