A leading independent accountancy practice in Merseyside is seeking an experienced Client Account Manager to join their growing team. With an established reputation for delivering high-quality accounting, tax and advisory services to a diverse portfolio of SME and owner-managed business clients, the firm offers a supportive culture, excellent client exposure and genuine opportunities for career progression.
As a Client Account Manager, you will be responsible for managing a varied portfolio of clients across a range of sectors. Acting as the main point of contact, you will build strong relationships, provide commercial advice and ensure the delivery of exceptional client service.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Managing a portfolio of SME and owner-managed business clients
- Reviewing statutory accounts prepared by junior members of the team
- Overseeing the completion of corporation tax returns and management accounts
- Acting as the primary point of contact for client queries and business advice
- Building and developing lasting client relationships
- Supporting partners with workflow management and business development activities
- Mentoring and developing junior staff members
What you'll need to succeed:
- ACA / ACCA qualified, part-qualified or qualified by experience
- Previous experience working within an accountancy practice environment
- Strong knowledge of statutory accounts and corporation tax
- Excellent communication and client relationship management skills
- Experience managing a portfolio of clients
- A proactive and commercially focused approach
