A well-established manufacturing business based in Taunton is seeking an experienced Interim Systems Accountant to support finance systems optimisation and ongoing transformation initiatives. This is a hands-on role requiring a strong understanding of finance systems, processes and reporting, with a focus on improving efficiency and supporting the wider finance function.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support and optimise finance systems and processes
  • Act as a key contact for systems-related queries and troubleshooting
  • Assist with data integrity, reporting improvements and system enhancements
  • Support system upgrades, implementations or integrations
  • Work closely with finance and operational teams to drive efficiencies
  • Provide user training and support to improve system utilisation
  • Ensure strong controls and best practice processes are embedded

Candidate Profile

  • Proven experience as a Systems Accountant or Finance Systems Specialist
  • Experience within a manufacturing or similar environment
  • Strong understanding of ERP systems and financial processes
  • Confident working in a hands-on, fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills to support and train users
  • Ability to be on-site regularly (4 days per week)
