Wealth Management UK Front Office Risk Management Team Contract Until December 2026 London Inside IR35 - PAYE Hybrid Working: 4 days onsite

As a Business Risk Specialist, you will be responsible for supporting the Front Office Risk Management Team in their effective evaluation and management of operational risk incurred through the daily activity of the “domestic & international front” organisation.

Team context: The specialist will work within the Front Office Risk team in the Wealth Management UK Business Risk Organisation, responsible for operational risk evaluation and management in Wealth Management UK. The team supports and advises the front office on processes, policies, and regulatory requirements, interfacing with various management levels and risk control functions. The role requires compliance with the bank’s risk management and control principles, credit and risk policies, and includes project planning, delivery, operational and market risk control, and implementation of agreed processes and tools.

Role responsibilities: The specialist supports the Front Office Risk Management Team by evaluating and managing operational risks from daily activities, ensuring risks are identified, assessed, and mitigated in line with governance principles. Tasks include performing front office desk controls, issuing risk reports quarterly, identifying risk trends, coaching front office staff, participating in project groups, and managing problems effectively.

Candidate requirements: Candidates should have a degree, ideally with risk-related professional qualifications, experience in private banking or wealth management. Experience in compliance, audit, or training is advantageous. Essential skills include being a self-starter, strong written and verbal communication, analytical attention to detail, and data analytics proficiency with tools like Alteryx and Power BI.
