Site Supervisor (Water)

Your new company is based in Belfast and currently recruiting for a Civils Site Supervisor. They are a leading utility and infrastructure contractor delivering essential water and wastewater projects across the UK and Ireland. With a reputation for safely delivering complex infrastructure works, they continue to secure major investment programmes within the water sector. Due to sustained growth and an increasing pipeline of projects, they are now seeking an experienced Site Supervisor to join their expanding water division. This role will require travel throughout the UK.

Your new role as Site Supervisor will involve playing a key role in the successful delivery of water infrastructure projects, overseeing multiple site teams across water main rehabilitation, pipeline replacement and new pipeline construction schemes. You will be responsible for supervising direct labour and subcontract gangs, ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently and to programme. Working closely with Site Managers, Project Managers and client representatives, you will coordinate daily site activities, maintain high standards of health and safety, monitor productivity, and ensure quality standards are achieved across several live projects.

Key responsibilities include:

• Supervising multiple operational gangs across water infrastructure projects
• Coordinating daily site activities and resources
• Ensuring compliance with health, safety and environmental requirements
• Monitoring programme delivery and reporting progress to management
• Liaising with clients, local authorities and stakeholders
• Completing site records, permits and project documentation
• Maintaining quality standards throughout construction and rehabilitation works

What you'll need to succeed:

To be successful in this role, you will have previous experience supervising civil engineering or utilities projects, ideally within the water sector. You will also possess:

• Proven experience overseeing multiple site teams or gangs
• Strong knowledge of water main rehabilitation, pipeline installation or utilities projects
• A solid understanding of health and safety legislation and site compliance
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Ability to manage workloads across several sites simultaneously
• Full UK driving licence
• SSSTS or SMSTS qualification (preferred)
• CSCS card and relevant utility sector certifications
