Site Manager (New Build – £105M PBSA) – Central London £60-70,000 + package

As the Site Manager, you will be supporting the PM, managing the onsite delivery of this multi-storey block, (£105M D&B High Rise). Reporting to the Project Manager, you will take a leading role in keeping the program on track, with day-to-day responsibility for the project.

Your duties will include:

  1. Work closely with the Project Manager to plan the project effectively ensuring project requirements, specifications, design drawings and Health & Safety proposals are agreed, and a programme is in place.
  2. Promote and maintain the highest standards of health, safety, and environmental management.
  3. Day-to-day management of the site, including supervising and monitoring the site management team and the work of any subcontractors.
  4. Manage all site-based operatives, overseeing all aspects of their work including carrying out safety inductions, toolbox talks, controlling the quality of work, ensuring method statement and order fulfilment, cleanliness and tidiness, the use of plant and tools, the reduction of waste and use of PPE.
  5. Reviewing performance against targets and identifying and managing potential risks and opportunities.
  6. Proactive approach to resolving any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may arise and associated reporting to the Project Manager and Construction Director.
  7. Establish and maintain storage facilities for materials, plant and tools managing stock to meet agreed deadlines and budget of the project.
  8. Managing project handover and ensuring defect/snug free completion.
  9. Sharing best practice and driving continuous improvements.

You will have:

  • A degree or equivalent, SMSTS and First Aid.
  • Previous relevant experience taking projects out of the ground through to completion, to include RC frame, multi-storey.
  • Delivered Projects with a value of £20m or more.
