A leading organisation within the agri-food and bulk commodities sector is seeking a Silo Manager to join its Belfast-based operation. This is a unique opportunity to join a high-performing, fast-paced port environment with a strong focus on operational excellence, safety, and continuous improvement, while benefiting from an exceptional work-life balance.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will lead the day-to-day running of silo and storage operations, ensuring the smooth discharge, storage and dispatch of commodities. Working closely with port teams, contractors and hauliers, you'll drive operational efficiency, manage budgets, and ensure full compliance with TASCC, ISO9001 and safety standards. You'll develop and motivate your team, embed best practice, and champion continuous improvement, including TPM processes. This role also involves monitoring performance against targets, driving improvements, and ensuring plant and equipment are utilised and maintained effectively.

What you'll need to succeed:

  • 3+ years' experience in operations and people management
  • Background in an industrial or fast-paced environment (unionised preferred)
  • Strong leadership, team development and communication skills
  • Experience managing performance, budgets and operational targets
  • Knowledge of compliance and quality standards (e.g. TASCC, ISO9001)
  • Experience with plant operations and maintenance/TPM (desirable)
  • Flexible, reliable and able to work across shifts when required
  • Engineering experience or qualification (desirable)
