Our client is a leading infrastructure services provider in the UK & Ireland, delivering essential infrastructure services across a number of sectors. They work across highways maintenance, utilities & telecoms and civil engineering.
Your new role
The Setting Out Engineer will be responsible for accurately setting out line and level using a variety of surveying equipment to ensure precise execution of civil works. Additionally, the engineer will act as the Document Controller for all civil drawings, ensuring accuracy and compliance. The role involves assisting the civil site team with Construction Reviews, raising Technical Queries (T.Qs), and supporting procurement processes by obtaining quotes and raising orders. The engineer will also be responsible for completing As-Built Drawings, ensuring final documentation aligns with executed works and project requirements.
What you'll need to succeed
The successful candidate must have a proven track record as a setting out engineer, hold NG Persons accreditation and have previous experience working on National Grid (NG) sites, with a strong understanding of National Grid Technical Specifications (NGTS).
What you'll get in return
This is a 6 month contract with an immediate start for the right person. The rate will be negotiable depending on your experience.
