Your new company is a large-sized multidisciplinary consultancy with several offices across the UK, specialising in Mechanical & Electrical Building Design as well as Energy & Sustainability. Employees work on exciting projects to deliver low energy and high-quality products across various sectors, including Education, Commercial, Residential, and Industrial. Projects range from new builds to refurbishments, varying in scale from small works to £100m+. Repeat business and referrals are key objectives, ensuring a consistent pipeline of interesting work in a flexible and relaxed office environment.
Your new role involves working within a multi-disciplined Revit team, responsible for generating quality, accurate, and detailed records of Building Services engineering project documentation, adhering to the project BIM execution plan. Responsibilities include:
- Producing 2D layouts/schematics using AutoCAD and 3D BIM models, generating 2D/3D layouts/sections/schematics, including information modelling using Revit MEP and clash detection using Navisworks.
- Setting up drawings and preparing them for the team.
- Reviewing project files for compliance with standards/protocols.
- Implementing best practice procedures and assisting engineers in drawing production.
- Producing accurate 2D drawings and 3D models.
- Coordinating drawing production in line with project requirements and other disciplines.
- Helping to technically deliver BIM/CAD projects in the role of CAD and BIM coordination.
- Creating clash detection reports and resolving issues with the support of the Engineering Team.
- Family creation and input for developing standard details and procedures.
- Meeting tight deadlines and working independently or as part of a team.
What you’ll need to succeed:
- Proficiency with software such as Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks (examples of work will be requested at interview).
- An understanding of the requirement for building services co-ordination, with knowledge of BS 1992, PAS 1192, and BS8541.
- Previous experience in a Building Services consultancy environment.
- Familiarity with assurance processes, codes of practice, standards, and relevant sections of statutory documentation.
- Eligibility to pass criteria for security clearance and airside pass applications.
- A positive outlook and self-motivated attitude.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
