Your new company
You will be joining an established and well-respected Tier 1 contractor operating within the water industry. This multi-accredited and high-profile contractor delivers large-scale clean and waste water capital programmes for Welsh Water and offers a strong pipeline of AMP8 works as well as excellent opportunities for career progression and professional development. Due to continued success, they are actively seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team. This is a full-time permanent position based out of their Cardiff office with hybrid working and occasional site visits.
Your new role
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you'll be at the heart of delivering major water infrastructure projects. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting estimators with tendering and pricing new projects
- Managing subcontractors from procurement through to final account
- Administering live projects, monitoring costs, progress and change control
- Preparing client applications, WIP and cash flow management and final accounts using CEMAR
- Producing monthly reports on value, cost forecasts, risks and margin improvement plans.
This is a dynamic role where you'll manage multiple projects and contribute to the long-term resilience of essential water infrastructure.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful, you will need:
- Degree/HNC/HND in Quantity Surveying (or similar) or experience
- Strong working knowledge of NEC form of contract
- Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects
- Sound leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills
- Full UK driving licence.
