Your new company
Our client is an established main contractor working on civil works within the environmental sector. This organisation has a strong project pipeline and offers excellent opportunities for career progression and professional development. Their commitment to delivering an exceptional standard of work has positioned them as a leader in the civil engineering industry and, due to continued success, they are looking to onboard a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their highly successful team. This is a permanent position based in the Derby area and will involve a mixture of office, home and site-based working.
Your new role
As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for, but not limited to:
- Preparing and submitting applications for payment
- Providing monthly cost reports in line with project budgets
- Managing subcontractor packages from appointment to final account
- Submitting valuations and variations on schemes
- Procuring subcontractors.
What you’ll need to succeed
In order to be successful, you will have:
- Strong heavy civils experience
- Good working knowledge of NEC form of contract
- Sound organisational and communication skills
- Experience working on environmental projects (ideal).
