Job Description
The company:
We are a dynamic and innovative company specialising in Commercial, Central Government, and Data Centre projects. With a turnover of £20 million per annum, we pride ourselves on our friendly and welcoming team environment. Our office, located in an open-plan building with an on-site car park, is home to 60 staff members, including a dedicated design team of 11.
Role Overview:
We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team and replace a current Senior who is transitioning to reduced hours. The ideal candidate will have a strong contractor background and experience working on RIBA stages 3-6. You will be joining a team of 6 designers, 4 CAD technicians (Revit), and 3 apprentices, working on a variety of schemes including commercial offices, DWP, HMP, MoJ, GPA, Barclays, Nationwide, NatWest, Coop, radio stations, and data centres.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the design team to deliver high-quality mechanical engineering solutions.
- Work predominantly on RIBA stages 3-6.
- Manage tight deadlines with a typical turnaround of 3 weeks.
- Support the transition of responsibilities from the current Senior Mechanical Engineer.
- Coordinate with estimators and project managers for electrical design aspects.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Senior Mechanical Engineer with a contractor background.
- Strong knowledge of commercial, MoJ, and data centre projects.
- Proficiency in Revit and other CAD software.
- The ability to work effectively within a team and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
