Senior Management Accountant

Salary: £45,000

Job Responsibilities:
Contribute to the effective running of the Finance function by producing meaningful information to support decision-making.
Ensure the business complies with all statutory and regulatory reporting requirements.
Create a strong control environment within the finance team, embedding effective processes and procedures.
Prepare monthly management accounts, providing accurate and meaningful information on the P&L, cash flow, balance sheet, and variance analysis.
Prepare monthly reconciliations for all balance sheet accounts, providing commentary on reconciling items.
Maintain quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
Support the Financial Controller with the year-end process, producing financial statements and acting as a key point of contact for the audit team.
Contribute to the annual budgeting and planning process.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, preparing regulatory returns for FCA and HMRC.
Review and improve accounting processes and practices to ensure efficient financial operations.
Assist the Financial Controller with projects, ensuring all aspects of Finance requirements are considered and costs are controlled.
What You Need:
Qualified or part-qualified accountancy qualification
Proven experience working with financial and regulatory reporting.
Detail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining a high level of accuracy.
Experience with the year-end process, including statutory account production and audit requirements.
Clear communication skills at all levels, both orally and in writing.
Ability to balance competing priorities and prioritise work effectively.
Strong problem-solving skills.
Advanced Excel skills.
