Senior HR Advisor

Are you an experienced HR professional with a strong background in complex Employee Relations casework? We are seeking a Senior HR Advisor to join a complex unionised organisation on an interim basis via Hays in Dorset.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a range of complex Employee Relations cases, including disciplinary, grievance, capability, performance, sickness, absence management and investigations.
• Provide expert advice to managers on HR policies, employment law, and best practice.
• Work closely with trade unions and employee representatives to maintain positive industrial relations.
• Potentially support organisational change initiatives, including restructures and consultations.
• Ensure compliance with employment legislation and organisational policies.
• Prepare detailed reports and documentation for hearings and tribunals where required.

Skills & Experience

• Proven track record in handling complex ER casework within a unionised environment.
• Strong knowledge of UK employment law and complex large organisation HR practices.
• Excellent stakeholder management and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• CIPD qualified (or equivalent experience).
• Confident communicator with the ability to influence at all levels.

Offer

• This role is offered on an initial interim contract for 3 months with scope for longer term via Hays online time sheets.
• Based in Dorset, 3 days per week on site with 2 days from home
