Hays are working in partnership with an established Civil & Structural Engineering Consultancy who are hiring a Senior Engineer to join their conservation team in Lisburn.Our client’s ethos is rooted in a passion for structural engineering. They’ve built a reputation for innovative design solutions and lateral thinking. As they’ve expanded their expertise to include Civil and Infrastructure Engineering, all while staying true to their original service delivery approach.They have offices in Northern Ireland, London, and Dublin and house a team of dynamic, creative, and ambitious engineers and designers. They collaborate proactively with architects, artists, designers, developers, and contractors. Their multidisciplinary experience allows them to contribute positively during the early stages of the design process, ensuring an elegant and cost-effective solution.
Your new roleIn this Senior Engineer role, you’ll play a crucial part in creating a sustainable and low-carbon future within the engineering industry. While your specialisation lies in conservation and adaptive reuse, you’ll also have ample chances to contribute to new-build projects across the office. This diverse experience will help you develop and maintain well-rounded engineering skills. Additionally, your colleagues in other teams work on various projects, including high-rise concrete frame residential buildings, steel frame educational campuses, and unique sculptural and arts projects throughout the UK and Ireland.
What you’ll need to succeed:
The ideal candidate for Senior Engineer role should have a degree in Structural Engineering with 4-5 years of relevant experience.Chartered or approaching chartership would be ideal. Experience with existing buildings is a plus but not essential.
