Your new role
Working on a major water framework scheme in the London area, our clients are now looking to recruit a Senior Commercial Manager. This is a highly exciting senior management role focused on supporting and building the existing commercial team. Additionally, the Senior Commercial Manager will help to devise enhanced processes and reporting on commercial performance KPIs, in turn informing and then monitoring performance improvement plans.
A key element of this role is to forge a strong relationship with your client counterparts. You will ensure the commercial functions are jointly managed with relevant review when required, whilst ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures and principles.

You will be a commercially astute individual that takes ownership of their own, their teams and their business unit’s performance.You’ll be a proactive person and results driven with a disposition to take action pre-emptively to manage risk and opportunity.
Highly skilled communicator with an aptitude for building excellent working relationships with client and internal stakeholders.
A leader who can build a team and create an environment where they will be motivated, supported, driven and effective.
Ability to mentor your team, developing each team member whilst modelling the behaviours and standards expected.
Skills and Knowledge Requirements:
- Detailed knowledge, understanding and previous experience of managing high volume low value contracts.
- The ability and desire to identify opportunities for improvement, and influence change.
- Able to react to constantly changing workloads and work to tight deadlines.
- Knowledge of service delivery within the utilities sector.
- Excellent foresight and ability to plan-ahead.
- Experience in internal commercial reporting, subcontract engagement and management, estimating and cost analysis.
- Build strong relationships with clients and other senior leaders in partnership.
- Committed to continuous improvement.
- Ideally a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) or the Chartered Institution of Civil Engineering Surveyors (CIOB)
- Relevant Hons Degree level qualification or equivalent.
