The predicted salary is between 29000 - 38000 £ per year.

Your new company is a well-established environmental consultancy with 80 - 90 specialist staff in Ecology, Arboriculture, GIS and Climate change. They have multiple hubs across the country and are open to Ecologists across the UK due to their extensive workload nationwide. They are looking for candidates of varying levels from Consultant to Principal. As an Employee-Owned trust, employees have a stake in the business and receive an annual bonus. Their training is excellent, with exceptional equipment and facilities, allowing staff to shadow selected surveys for additional experience.

Your work will contribute to the running of a successful and established consultancy. They are open to staff across various offices including Guildford, Birmingham, Leeds, Cardiff, Manchester and Ipswich (working on a hybrid basis).

Main duties could include:

  • Manage a range of aquatic ecology projects
  • Lead aquatic ecology surveys
  • Technical report writing
  • Mentor junior staff
  • Co-ordinate field surveys / site work
  • Maintain relationships with internal teams, external subcontractors and suppliers

What you’ll need to succeed:

  • A degree in Ecology, Environmental Management or relevant subject
  • Proven previous experience as an Aquatic Ecologist
  • Knowledge of relevant UK environmental legislation
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Full UK driving licence
