We are currently working in partnership with a well-established secondary school in Birmingham to appoint a passionate and experienced SENDCo to join them on a permanent basis from September 2026. This is an excellent opportunity to take on a key leadership role within a school that places inclusion and student outcomes at the heart of everything it does.

The Role

  • Lead and manage SEND provision across the school, ensuring all pupils receive the support they need to thrive.
  • Lead the development and delivery of the school's SEND strategy.
  • Ensure compliance with the SEND Code of Practice and statutory duties.
  • Identify, assess and monitor pupils with additional needs.
  • Coordinate interventions and track pupil progress.
  • Work closely with SLT, teaching staff, parents and external agencies.
  • Lead, support and develop SEND staff and deliver CPD.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Hold QTS.
  • Have (or be working towards) the SENDCo qualification.
  • Have experience leading or supporting SEND provision in a school setting.
  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of inclusive practice and SEND frameworks.
  • Have a proven track record of improving outcomes for students.
