Job Overview :
We are seeking a dedicated professional to support our Security Technology Operations team by engaging third parties, assessing EDR solutions, and crafting scoring frameworks for our current EDR solutions.
- Contract Length: 3 months (visibility to extend to 6 months)
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and advise on existing EDR security capabilities and processes.
- Demonstrate strong technical knowledge of End-Point Detection and Anti-Virus technology across Windows, MacOS, and Linux.
- Understand EDR, AV, DLP, Network security, email security, and VPN solutions.
- Triage vendor RFP responses and questions during the project.
- Build and score EDR solutions based on RFP responses.
- Write specific use-cases for testing EDR solutions.
- Facilitate vendor privacy/security assessments before any PoC.
- Identify and raise risks, threats, and vulnerabilities regarding EDR.
- Propose and drive security improvements for STO-maintained technology.
- Support vendor management at a tactical level.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Create a scoring methodology based on PoC data.
- Aid in building formal documentation such as knowledge articles and presentations.
- Perform technical testing akin to penetration testing of EDR solutions.
- Foster recommendations into strategic plans for technology expertise.
Key Requirements:
- Proven success in a team-oriented environment with strong problem-solving skills.
- Experience in deploying EDR to an organization.
- Experience in a security role focused on technical controls, services, and procedures.
- Good understanding of technical security control concepts, procedures, and systems (e.g., AV, EDR, Firewalls).
- Familiarity with ITIL processes.
