School Caretaker required for a temporary contract in a large Widnes Primary School

We are currently working with a large primary school in Widnes to recruit a caretaker for an ongoing temporary role.
The school are looking for someone who can ideally split shifts but will consider candidates who can work from 8.00am to 4.00pm Monday to Thursday and 8.00am to 3.30pm on a Thursday.
Split shifts would be 7.30am – 10.30am and 2.00pm to 6.00pm.

Your new role
As a school Caretaker you will be expected to ensure that the school is kept safe, secure and clean. You will be responsible for: Locking and unlocking the buildings as required. Dealing efficiently with planned maintenance. Completing day to day establishment requirements and problems that may arise. Undertaking minor repairs to fixtures and fittings. Monitoring the premises for any hazards, carrying out repairs and reporting problems. Carry out any additional duties as required by the school business manager and SLT

In order to succeed in this role you will need to have: Good problem-solving skills. Knowledge of health and safety, hygiene and security procedures. Ability to communicate well. Physically fit/ active for any lifting. Basic DIY skills. Ability to manage your own workload/ day. You will need to be flexible and reliable.
