We\’re currently looking for an experienced SAP BTP Security Architect (m/f/d) for a freelance opportunity.
Our client (consumer goods) is looking to enlarge the ERP Security & governance project team. The company is currently going through a global digital transformation project based on SAP technology. SAP S4, BTP (CIS, IAG etc.) and cloud integrated solutions.
The candidate must at lease have 10 + year of experience in SAP security integrated projects and extensive knowledge of SAP BTP security platform.
Role: Senior SAP BTP Security Architect (m/f/d)
Location: remote, with occasional travel across Europe
Duration: Initial 3-month contract, rolling contract that will be extended over 2026 and onwards.
Must be willing to work during CET timezone
Key Responsibilities
- Design and Implement Security Frameworks:Develop and implement secure authorization frameworks and policies for SAP BTP (CIS, IAG etc.) and BWZ environments, including user and role management.
- Manage Identity and Access Management (IAM):Configure and manage user authentication, authorization, and identity services within SAP BTP, leveraging solutions like SAP Cloud Identity Services.
- Secure SAP BTP & Integrations:Ensure secure integrations between SAP BTP services and other SAP modules or external systems using technologies like SAML, OAuth, and JWT.
- Conduct Security Assessments:Perform security risk assessments, vulnerability analysis, and audits for SAP BTP and BWZ, providing mitigation strategies.
- Ensure Compliance and Governance:Monitor adherence to security standards, regulatory requirements (e.g., SOX, GDPR), and internal policies.
- Provide Expert Support and Troubleshooting:Offer technical support, troubleshoot access issues, and provide trusted advisory to internal stakeholders.
- Collaborate with Teams:Work with developers, Basis teams, and business stakeholders to deliver secure solutions and support ongoing projects.
Required Skills and Experience
- SAP BTP (CIS, IAG etc.) Expertise: Strong hands-on experience with SAP BTP security architecture, including the SAP BTP cockpit.
- BWZ Knowledge:Experience with SAP Build Workzone (BWZ) security features and its integration with other SAP components.
- IAM & Authentication:Proficiency with Identity and Access Management concepts and technologies such as SAP Cloud Identity Services, SAML, OAuth, and SCIM.
- SAP Security Fundamentals:A solid understanding of SAP security concepts, including user/role administration, authorization objects, and segregation of duties (SoD).
- Integration Technologies:Familiarity with integration protocols and tools.
- Compliance & Standards:Knowledge of IT compliance standards and regulatory frameworks like SOX, and GDPR.
- Troubleshooting & Problem-Solving:Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex security issues.
- Communication:Excellent communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills
