A well‑established secondary academy in the West Midlands is seeking a committed Food Technology Teacher to join its Design & Technology department on a one‑day‑a‑week basis. Key responsibilities
- Deliver high‑quality Food Technology lessons that build practical skills and nutritional understanding
- Plan, assess, and track progress in line with curriculum requirements
- Maintain excellent safety standards in practical kitchen environments
- Contribute to departmental planning on a part‑time basis
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or strong relevant teaching experience
- Up‑to‑date Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
- Strong subject knowledge in Food Preparation & Nutrition
- Confidence managing practical lessons and maintaining a safe, organised workspace
- A calm, consistent approach aligned with the academy's high expectations
