This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in growing and supporting a vibrant community charity fundraising programme. You will inspire, guide, and empower supporters to deliver successful fundraising activities, helping to maximise income and deepen long-term engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporter Experience & Fundraising Growth
    • Design and deliver exceptional supporter journeys, ensuring every fundraiser feels valued and motivated - from initial idea through to event delivery and beyond.
    • Provide hands-on support, guidance, and encouragement to help maximise fundraising results and build lasting relationships.
    • Develop innovative initiatives and campaigns to grow income and introduce new audiences to the organisation’s work.
  • Community Engagement & Relationships
    • Act as a key point of contact for supporter enquiries, providing resources, fundraising materials, and advice.
    • Build strong relationships with supporters from diverse backgrounds, ensuring a personalised and engaging experience.
    • Encourage continued involvement through meaningful stewardship and recognition.
  • Volunteer & Event Management
    • Recruit, motivate, and manage a network of volunteers and community ambassadors.
    • Coordinate volunteer participation at events, including challenge events and community activities.
    • Arrange attendance at supporter-led events, talks, and presentations where representation is required.
  • Events & External Opportunities
    • Identify and manage participation in third-party events (e.g. community shows and national celebrations) to raise awareness, recruit supporters, and strengthen brand presence.
    • Ensure all events deliver a high-quality experience that reflects organisational values and goals.
  • Strategy, Planning & Performance
    • Work collaboratively to develop and deliver an annual community fundraising strategy aligned with wider organisational objectives.
    • Monitor performance against KPIs, analysing outcomes to continuously improve future activities.
    • Contribute to budget planning and oversee income and expenditure within community fundraising.
  • Marketing & Communications
    • Partner with Communications teams to promote fundraising campaigns across relevant channels.
    • Support the creation of engaging, accessible fundraising resources and materials.
    • Manage online communities and social platforms to keep supporters informed, inspired, and connected.
  • Data & Systems
    • Ensure accurate recording of supporter data and income in line with processes and compliance standards.
    • Build smooth and user-friendly sign-up journeys, capturing insights to inform future activity.
  • General
    • Support wider team initiatives and undertake additional responsibilities as required.

Person Specification

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to inspire and engage a wide range of audiences.
  • Strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
  • Proven ability to develop new ideas and initiatives.
  • Confident relationship builder with a collaborative and supportive approach.
  • Solid administrative and IT skills (including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
  • Self-motivated, adaptable, and resilient under pressure.
  • Willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends for events.
  • Experience within the not-for-profit sector.
  • Full, clean driving licence.

Desirable

  • Experience in community or event fundraising.
  • Knowledge of data protection regulations.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems.
  • Confidence driving hired vehicles.

Salary DOE - £26,500 - £31,500 Salisbury based
