Your New Role

Within your new role as HR Assistant, you will support the Group HR Manager in the provision of a high-quality, efficient HR service for the organisation, ensuring that confidentiality and data protection requirements are always met. As the sole HR specialist, you will be responsible for leading the operational HR function, providing first line advice, and covering a diverse range of HR related responsibilities including:

  • Recruitment & onboarding
  • Attendance management
  • ER casework support
  • HR project work
  • Maintenance of employee data
  • Payroll processing

The successful HR professional will be self-motivated, enthusiastic and possess the ability to build strong, long-lasting relationships, whilst also understanding and promoting the aims and values of the organisation.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years' experience working in a HR generalist role
  • Experience of using HR Systems, inputting data and maintaining systems
  • Knowledge of HR policies/employment law, administrative procedures and regulations
  • Understanding and practice of the recruitment process
  • Initiative and ability to work without direct supervision, taking responsibility for tasks, prioritising and scheduling your own work
  • Experience of working in HR within an educational environment (desirable)
