Hays Health & Safety are currently working with a global leader in nuclear engineering to find a driven and energetic assistant HSE Coordinator to assist the project team. In this role you will provide positive leadership on HSE matters with an enthusiastic mentality, ensuring the project team is up-to-date with all HSE-related issues.

You will have knowledge of current CDM principles and assist in the development of pre-construction information for the client.

Your new role:

  • Support in developing and implementing the project's Health & Safety plan.
  • Ensure all HSE-related matters are communicated to site teams and any non-compliance reported to the Construction Manager.
  • Support with HSE training.
  • Support with the management of key contractors, providing input into the selection and review of RAMS.
  • Develop and implement project inductions.
  • Complete monthly reports on HSE compliance, KPI's and best practice.

To succeed you will:

  • Hold current knowledge/qualifications of CDM Regulations and NEBOSH general.
  • IEMA foundation certificate & IOSH Membership are desirable.
  • Suitable experience with HSE matters on a project setting.
  • Hold a full valid drivers license and be able to commute daily to site.

The right candidate for this role will receive £35,000pa alongside free single medical cover and digital GP service, enhanced parental leave pay and reimbursement towards continued professional development.
