About the role
We are recruiting flexible and reliable Supply SEND Teaching Assistants to support a well-established, Ofsted rated 'Good' specialist school in the Rugby area. This setting supports pupils with a wide range of additional needs, including ASD, MLD, PMLD, SEMH, and complex learning needs.
As a Supply SEND Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Support pupils 1:1 or in small groups
- Assist with communication, sensory needs, and emotional regulation
- Help pupils engage in learning and daily routines
- Work collaboratively with teachers and support staff
- Create a calm, safe, and inclusive environment
What you'll need to succeed
- Experience supporting learners with additional needs (SEN, SEMH, ASD, MLD, PMLD)
- Background as a Teaching Assistant, Support Worker or LSA
- Patience, resilience, and a nurturing approach
- Ability to follow behaviour and support plans
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
