Your new company
Our client is a highly-regarded defendant firm with offices across the UK. They are currently recruiting for a Catastrophic Loss Solicitors/Lawyers to join on a remote working basis with the expectation of occasional travel to one of the offices for client visits and/or hub days. This role is open to solicitors and chartered legal executives.
Your new role
Depending on your level of seniority, these Catastrophic Loss roles will see you either handling your own caseload of complex, catastrophic loss matters or assisting Partners on files valued £1,000,000+. Cases will involve traumatic brain injury, spinal injury, amputation and high-value fatal claims.
For all levels of these Catastrophic Loss Solicitor/Lawyer roles, you will be responsible for:
- Apply up-to-date technical knowledge and relevant case law to all matters.
- Proactively identify and manage risk and compliance issues within each case, escalating concerns to your supervisor at the earliest opportunity.
- Engage with clients where appropriate to build rapport and identify opportunities, always representing the firm professionally.
- Ensure compliance with internal and client SLAs, KPIs, and established protocols.
- Consistently meet agreed financial targets and performance objectives.
- Support business development initiatives and client relationship activities in collaboration with the Client Relationship Partner, as needed.
- Maintain and enhance technical expertise through regular training and continuous professional development.
What you\’ll need to succeed
You must be a qualified solicitor or chartered legal executive with strong defendant personal injury, EL/PL and/or catastrophic loss experience. For those applying for senior positions, you must have defendant catastrophic injury experience. Applicants must have excellent communication and client care skills.
