Your new company
Our fast-growing SME client is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Assistant Accountant to join their finance team on an interim basis. This role will be 100% office-based.
Your new role
You will be responsible for the preparation and posting of accruals and prepayments, as well as maintaining the fixed asset register, including calculating depreciation. You will perform regular bank reconciliations, investigating and resolving any discrepancies that arise. The position also involves supporting the preparation of monthly management accounts, assisting with journal entries, and carrying out balance sheet reconciliations. Day-to-day accounting tasks will be managed using Sage 50, while you will also provide support during year-end processes and audits.
What you'll need to succeed
You will have previous experience in a similar Assistant Accountant or finance role, along with a working knowledge of Sage 50, which is preferred. You should possess a strong understanding of basic accounting principles and demonstrate excellent attention to detail and organisational skills. Additionally, you will be proactive in your approach, showing a clear willingness to learn and continuously develop your expertise.
