Your new company
The service is for people who have a recent history of homelessness that are moving on from first stage accommodation. These clients have led complex lives and may have experienced or still be experiencing, trauma, mental ill-health, substance misuse, domestic abuse and may be involved with diverse service providers. This portion of the Devon & Cornwall Supported Housing Service consists of 11 units of supported accommodation dispersed between 6 properties across Exeter. The aim is to empower clients to develop their skills, resilience and independence, as a steppingstone to sustained recovery and move-on within 12 months, to their own tenancy. Alongside team mates this role will ensure the safe running of 11 units of accommodation for individuals with a history of rough sleeping.
Your new role
Job Title: Temporary Regional Manager
Contract: Until the end of March 2025, with the possibility of an extension
Salary: £39,000 per annum (£26 per hour)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week (Monday–Friday, 09:00–17:00)
Location: Exeter-based, with weekly travel to Dorset/Weymouth
Responsibilities
- Effective management of local Service Managers and oversight of projects.
- Lead on service KPI reporting, ensuring high-quality reports with in-depth analysis.
- Foster effective joint working mechanisms internally and externally, including regular engagement with staff, stakeholders, and commissioners.
Additional Context
The role covers Exeter and Dorset and involves managing three Service Managers.
What you'll need to succeed
- The candidate must be able to base themselves at our Central Exeter office
- Weekly travel to Weymouth is required to engage with the service and team there.
- Services include Outreach and Supported Housing, so experience in the homelessness sector would be highly advantageous.
- A valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle for business purposes are essential (mileage can be claimed back from office to office, but not the general commute of home to base office, which would be the Civic Centre).
