Hays Recruitment is looking for an ambitious Senior Recruitment Consultant to take ownership of a well-established Audit, Risk & Compliance (ARC) Public Sector interim desk. This is an exciting opportunity to capitalise on a growing, regulation-led market.
The desk already generates consistent temp revenue and sits within a sector experiencing sustained demand due to audit reform, economic crime legislation, ESG, AI governance, operational resilience and enhanced regulatory scrutiny across the public sector.
What you'll be doing:
- Managing and growing a Public Sector-focused ARC interim desk
- Building strong relationships with public sector clients, identifying off-contract spend and new opportunities
- Delivering end-to-end interim recruitment solutions across audit, risk, governance and compliance roles
- Actively developing candidate pipelines within key ARC skillsets
- Working closely with an experienced manager who leads a permanent ARC desk, enabling collaboration across temp and perm where appropriate
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven recruitment experience (temp or interim preferred, but strong perm consultants also considered)
- Interest or experience in audit, risk, governance or compliance markets
- Confidence in business development and client engagement
- Commercial awareness and the ambition to scale a high-potential desk
