Your new company A well-established infrastructure and utilities contractor is seeking an experienced Freelance Quantity Surveyor to support a busy programme of works.
Due to an increase in workload and an urgent requirement within the commercial team, they are looking for a hands-on QS who can quickly integrate into the business and support project delivery from a commercial perspective.
Your new role As Freelance Quantity Surveyor, you'll be responsible for managing project costs, budgets, forecasting, subcontractor accounts and commercial reporting across a portfolio of infrastructure projects.
You will work closely with operational teams to ensure projects remain commercially compliant and financially controlled whilst administering NEC contracts throughout the project lifecycle.
This is a hybrid role offering flexibility, although regular office attendance is expected to maintain collaboration with the wider team.
What you'll need to succeed Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within civil engineering, infrastructure or utilities environments.
Strong NEC contract experience is essential.
Experience with cost estimation, budgeting and commercial reporting.
Ability to manage workloads independently and take ownership of projects.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Previous experience within the utilities sector would be advantageous.
