Your new company You will be joining an established and privately-owned civil engineering contractor based in Coventry. This multi-accredited contractor specialises in delivering tailored civil engineering solutions across the water and utilities industries for local authorities and high-profile Tier 1 contractors appointed on the Severn Trent Water framework. They offer excellent opportunities for career progression and professional development, and due to continued success, they are actively growing their commercial team. This is a full-time site-based position in the Worcester area with occasional visits to their Coventry office. Your new role As Quantity Surveyor, your responsibilities will include: Financial monitoring and reporting of contracts assigned Preparing accurate financial statements in respect of contracts assigned Ensuring proper administration of the contract requirements, including all variations to the works Assisting with commercial completion of the contracts, including maintaining contemporary records for use in supporting claims, extensions of time and evaluation of variations Managing the appointment and ongoing management of subcontractors, including payment applications and final accounts Ensuring prompt submission of invoices and/or applications of payment to clients. What you\’ll need to succeed In order to be successful, you must have: Degree/HNC/HND in Quantity Surveying (or similar) or experience equivalent Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the Civil Engineering industry Sound working knowledge of NEC form of contract (ideally Options A, B and E) Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills Full UK driving licence.
