Your new company

You will be joining a well-established and growing construction and development business based in Lurgan, with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality residential and mixed-use projects across Northern Ireland. The company has a long-standing presence in the market and is known for its commitment to quality, value, and long-term client relationships. Due to continued growth, they are seeking to strengthen their commercial team with the addition of a Maintenance Quantity Surveyor.

Your new role

As an MTC Quantity Surveyor, you will take responsibility for managing the commercial aspects of maintenance and small works projects. You will play a key role in ensuring cost control, value delivery, and efficient project execution across a range of ongoing works and reactive maintenance contracts.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Managing the commercial delivery of maintenance and minor works contracts
  • Preparing cost estimates, budgets, and valuations
  • Monitoring project costs and ensuring works are delivered within budget
  • Assessing and processing subcontractor payments and variations
  • Liaising with site teams, clients, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project delivery
  • Identifying and managing commercial risks and opportunities
  • Producing regular cost reports and forecasts
  • Ensuring compliance with contractual and company procedures

What you'll need to succeed

  • Previous experience in a Quantity Surveying role, ideally within maintenance, social housing, or small works projects
  • Strong commercial awareness with excellent cost management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Good understanding of construction contracts and procurement processes
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related field (desirable)
  • Proactive and organised approach with strong attention to detail
