Due to continued growth, they are seeking to strengthen their commercial team with the addition of a Maintenance Quantity Surveyor.
Your new role
As an MTC Quantity Surveyor, you will take responsibility for managing the commercial aspects of maintenance and small works projects. You will play a key role in ensuring cost control, value delivery, and efficient project execution across a range of ongoing works and reactive maintenance contracts.
Responsibilities will include:
- Managing the commercial delivery of maintenance and minor works contracts
- Preparing cost estimates, budgets, and valuations
- Monitoring project costs and ensuring works are delivered within budget
- Assessing and processing subcontractor payments and variations
- Liaising with site teams, clients, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project delivery
- Identifying and managing commercial risks and opportunities
- Producing regular cost reports and forecasts
- Ensuring compliance with contractual and company procedures
What you'll need to succeed
- Previous experience in a Quantity Surveying role, ideally within maintenance, social housing, or small works projects
- Strong commercial awareness with excellent cost management skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Good understanding of construction contracts and procurement processes
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related field (desirable)
- Proactive and organised approach with strong attention to detail
