Your new company
Our high-profile client, operating in the water sector, is currently seeking a Project Manager to join their team. They have a strong pipeline of work in the water sector and offer excellent opportunities for career progression. This is a permanent position which will involve a mixture of office-based (Birmingham) and site-based working (with the option for hybrid working).
Your new role
As Project Manager, you will be overseeing the successful delivery of civil works across the Midlands area and be responsible for, but not limited to:
- Creating and maintaining programmes as well as producing forecasts and procurement schedules
- Approving subcontractor invoices and ensuring payments are made within timescales
- Monitoring and reviewing financial and delivery performance
- Coordinating with the client and subcontractors regarding H&S audits/inspections
- Liaising with the delivery team to ensure successful project delivery.
What you’ll need to succeed
In order to be successful, you will have:
- Experience of delivering civil works from inception through to completion in the water (clean water or wastewater) industry, preferably deep drainage works
- Knowledge of CDM regulations
- Experience in procurement and post-contract management
- Sound interpersonal and communication skills.
