An established and highly regarded building contractor is seeking an experienced Project Manager / Site Manager to join its growing delivery team. With a strong reputation for successfully delivering high-quality construction projects across Northern Ireland, the company continues to secure significant public and private sector developments.Due to the award of a major new build project in County Fermanagh, an exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious construction professional who can take ownership of projects from inception through to completion. This is a permanent position offering long-term career progression within a stable and expanding business.
Your new role
As Project Manager / Site Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the successful delivery of a significant new build project, ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently, on programme and to the highest quality standards.Reporting directly to senior management, you will lead site operations, coordinate subcontractors and direct labour, monitor progress against programme, and maintain clear communication with all project stakeholders. You will play a key role in managing health and safety compliance, conducting site inspections and risk assessments, reviewing drawings and technical information, and ensuring site records are maintained accurately.You will also be responsible for motivating and managing site teams, resolving construction challenges as they arise, and driving projects through to successful completion.
What you'll need to succeed
To be considered, you should have a proven track record of delivering construction projects from groundworks through to handover. Previous experience managing new build projects is essential.You will possess strong leadership and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining high standards of safety, quality and programme performance. Excellent communication skills are required, along with a practical understanding of construction methods, site operations and technical drawings.Applicants should be self-motivated, capable of working on their own initiative, and possess the confidence to liaise effectively with senior management, engineers, subcontractors and site teams. Relevant Site Management and Health & Safety qualifications and certifications are essential.
