A Project Manager is needed to support a leading technology-communication provider.
Your new role:
We have an opportunity for a Project Manager to join our client’s team in London. The team works on a hybrid working basis and are also open to remote opportunities.
- Contract Length: 6 months (with visibility to extend)
- Daily rate: £550 per day through umbrella
- Hours: 40 hours, Monday – Friday
As a Project Manager, you will lead one or more workstreams on a business transformation programme, ensuring deliverables are met on time and within budget. You will be instrumental in creating and mobilising a new Satellite Services company (SatCo) to offer a wholesale satellite proposition to our client’s OpCos, Partner Markets, and selected MNOs.
Project Manager responsibilities:
- Define workstream scope by aiding the Workstream Lead in outlining all deliverables, activities, and owners.
- Create and maintain workstream activity plans, including inter and intra-workstream dependencies.
- Establish and follow a regular meeting and governance schedule aligned with the wider programme.
- Coordinate deliverable owners to ensure timely delivery and proactively mitigate risks.
- Regularly identify, assess, and manage risks within the workstream, seeking mitigations to reduce impact.
- Provide regular and accurate progress updates as defined by the PMO Manager and workstream lead.
- Ensure project documentation is complete, current, and stored appropriately.
- Work with technology, commercial, and regulatory teams to drive the programme forward despite current broadcasting restrictions from OfCom.
What you’ll need to succeed:
- Experience working with international teams and markets.
- Experience managing projects within a complex programme of business creation or transformation.
- Experience in technical delivery projects in telecoms networking (Network & IT & Op readiness).
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify root causes and find solutions.
- Excellent reporting, analytical skills, and cross-functional working capabilities.
- Previous experience in telecommunications is essential.
