Hays is working exclusively with a privately owned, boutique, client-side Project Management firm based in Australia. The Directors are highly regarded across the Victorian construction industry and will be visiting the UK in September to source talent who will bolster their teams back in Melbourne. These are brilliant people to learn from, diverse in sectors and growing at a considerable rate, career fast tracking is inevitable.
Your new role
This is a business that works on behalf of a range of clients, from private residential/commercial developers to health and education clients. However, these roles are specifically to work on major data centre accounts, and we seek expertise from this sector.
Do you have a strong background in services across technical projects? Data centres, hospitals, laboratories or complex projects? You will be involved in managing a number of different construction projects specifically in the data centre space. From concept through to delivery, you will be involved in managing the whole process, or various stages of the projects. Managing a range of stakeholders, your role will be to make sure all are complying with the client\’s requirements.
What you\’ll need to succeed
- Construction-related degree plus 5–10 years\’ experience, which has led to a strong understanding of construction and design.
- Experience of multidisciplinary engineering packages within data centres
- A minimum of 2 years recently working on data centre projects
- Project management experience working within a data centre environment
- Project experience similar; $30m+ technical projects, hospitals, defence, data centres, laboratories etc.
- Confident and clear communication skills – you must hold your own managing end clients and all stakeholders
- Must be able to enter Australia on a Working Holiday Visa initially with the opportunity of sponsorship post 6 month probation
