A Building & Civil Engineering Contractor working throughout Ireland and based in Newry, County Down are currently seeking to employ a Project Manager to bolster their stable management team. This company work in several key sectors including Residential, Healthcare, Education and Civil Engineering / Groundworks and pride themselves on their expert delivery of projects. Having just been awarded multiple schemes for 2024/2025, and with an order book of £100m, they are now recruiting for a Project Manager to facilitate their growing order book.This company has recently expanded into new markets and business sectors, particularly in Residential projects inclusive of housing and apartment blocks among other specialist areas and have gained a reputation as a leading and reputable contractor who deliver quality assured solutions to a wide-ranging customer base.
Your new role
With multiple projects starting across the country, your role will see you travel no further than 1 hrs
from Newry.This role will see you based on site, initially on one of their residential projects and you will be tasked with managing and coordinating the onsite activities, communicating with clients to cultivate and maintain good relationships and assisting in the development and implementation of action plans to enable proper time, resource and process managementAdditionally, you will assist with inventory monitoring to assess the need for resource procurement, prepare performance and ranking reports and weekly progress updates and frequently talk with team members through presentations and educating them on marketing tools and strategies

What you’ll need to succeed
To succeed in this role, the ideal candidate will have a degree in civil or structural engineering as well as having a minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience within the construction industry.
A knowledge of NEC contracts is desirable, but applicants with other good, relevant experience should not be deterred from applying.
