This client-side consultancy has successfully delivered large-scale retail, aged care, aviation and infrastructure projects across Australia. They have offices throughout Australia and are known for their expertise within the aviation space. Due to a number of upcoming large scale aviation projects, they are seeking an expert in the field to join their experienced team. Hence, a permanent position now exists for a Project Director to commence in the Melbourne, Sydney or Brisbane office.
As the aviation project lead you will have outstanding stakeholder management skills and the ability to effectively communicate with clients at all levels. In this role you will:
- Oversee projects allowing for the client to continue business-as-usual activities.
- Manage and lead a highly skilled project team.
- Ensure that business objectives and overall project targets are met.
- Evaluate and influence the progress and performance of infrastructure projects.
- Manage project delivery interfaces with contract management service providers, design teams and building contractors.
- Ensure accurate financial forecasting of projects and tracking of budgets.
- Lead and mentor junior team members.
What you'll need to succeed:
- End-to-end project experience.
- Extensive experience as a project manager within a client-side project management firm or directly for an airport.
- A proven history of delivering large scale aviation infrastructure projects above $300 million in value.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction, Engineering, Architecture or Property.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to present to senior stakeholders.
- Proven track record of running projects on time and within budget.
