A leading financial markets organisation is currently seeking an experienced Programme PMO to support a large-scale Cloud and Infrastructure transformation programme. This role will sit within a high-profile delivery function, providing hands-on PMO support across planning, financial management, governance and reporting for a complex programme spanning multiple regions and large technical teams.
Job Details:
- Start date: ASAP
- Duration: Initial 6-month contract
- Rate: £600pd Inside IR35 via Umbrella
- Location: London (Canary Wharf)
- Hybrid: 2-3 days in the office (team anchor day Thursday)
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Senior Programme PMO, supporting large-scale transformation programmes with multiple workstreams in banking and financial services.
- Strong background in cloud, infrastructure or technology transformation programmes, with the ability to understand technical concepts and engage confidently with engineering teams.
- Highly delivery-focused, operating within programme teams rather than central PMO functions, driving progress and maintaining momentum.
- Strong capability in financial management, including budget tracking, forecasting, variance analysis and cost control across large programmes.
- Experience creating and maintaining delivery schedules, milestones, RAID logs, dependency tracking and status reporting.
- Ability to operate in fast-paced, high-pressure environments, demonstrating resilience, confidence and a proactive, 'go-getter' mindset.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with regular exposure to senior leadership and C-level stakeholders, providing clear, concise and impactful reporting.
- Comfortable challenging stakeholders, chasing updates and influencing across teams to ensure delivery objectives are met.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and reporting tools; experience with Clarity PPM is advantageous.
- Ability to operate as a standalone contributor within a global team spanning multiple locations.
